My whole ENG099 semester I believe my best Blogs were the starting once. I also believe I did well in Blog 16. The reason is because I believe I wrote a 400 word minimum with a thesis, two body paragraphs with examples and with a conclusion at the end. I believe Professor Jason has taught the class very well. He let us know what was necessary was his class and what was mandatory to achieve a good grade in his class. In my point of view, I think Professor Jason is a great professor because we learned differently in his class. Most professors in the school either write in the board, while the students at times be falling to school while the professor is speaking or they be connected with the student through black board. Having him as a teacher, he made the class interested. He spoke and taught us more about the technology and what we are able to do online. I enjoyed watching the movie The Truman Show, as well in doing the assignment that was assigned to us.

If the students want to do well in his class, the only thing they need to do is complete all assigned blogs and essays. If you complete everything you don’t need to worry about nothing. Each individual work we do in class I believe is graded evenly.
If you ask me what needs to be changed, I don’t believe nothing needs to be changed because the professor cannot make the class any easier. He tells us what is mandatory and necessary for his class. To make it easier he also writes all the assignments online through blog spot so we could get access and finish all assign work giving to us. No other professor could make class any easier for the students.

The topic that I think relates to the film Sleep Dealer is Technology and Society.  The reason is because technology is taking over society. For someone to be able to connect with society around the world they need some type of technology. The picture is pretty much showing us that society is in our hands. We don’t need machine to connect with others. Having the technology advancing so much it shows us that we could get control of society with our hands without needing machinery around. In the film, it tells shows us that for us to be able to have a good connection with society with need to upgrade. Human Beings need to wire themselves up to be able to succeed, have wealth, and achieve your goals that you have in mind. Instead of working outside in the field as a garderner; we would connect ourselves with the wire connections and work from the same spot and location without needing to move around. We would view everything through this glass wears that we put on and we become robots. We do end up doing the same work as we would be doing in ground but now is through the robots. Instead of typing and using a mouse to move around the screen of a computer; we would then speak and touch in the air the image we choose to pick.

Technology is constantly growing so much every day, that it becomes hard to believe everything that goes on.  People would need to stay up to date just to be able to keep in touch with friends and family around the world.

Two examples I could use is Facebook and having an email account. First of all, many people connect with Facebook to be able to connect with others and keep in touch with others around the world. They use Facebook to be able to share their images and be able to IM each other directly. Second thing, many people use emailing. The reason is because through email you are able to send a personal message or picture to the next person. You are able to get to them when you have a free time. You could say; instead of sending a letter through the mail box you send it to their inbox. Emailing you could say is much faster and safer to use.

Blog 16

In the passage “Let Them Eat Fat”, by the Harper’s Magazines talks about how the amount of calories have doubled in our daily living because of fast-food.

I do believe that the fast-food do grab attention for customers. First of all, fast-food restaurants don’t let our younger society live as long as our parents or elders around us. Secondly, fast-food restaurants cause many people to have unhealthy health condition.

Many fast-food locations do grab customer attentions. They might post a sign saying when purchasing a super-size you get free refills. In the passage, it gives an example of McDonalds. When buying super-size meals in McDonalds it automatic doubles our calories. Many of the customers might not realize that eating such a big meal could cause us to have an unhealthy health to our system. There are many reasons why many customers enter a fast-food restaurant. First reason, could be because is cheaper. Secondly, it could be a quicker way to grab something to take on the go. Thirdly, it might be the only thing closer around the way.  By many of us being so distracted by these restaurants, we don’t realize how our health condition is turning out. In addition, we could also be gaining more weight. A lot of us having a busy daily schedule don’t realize what we consume in. We are decreasing our protein but we are increasing our fat and carbohydrates. Fast-food is everywhere but they are now growing more in poor inner-city communities. They know that by increasing in those areas, more people will attend. The main reason is because it is at a good price for them and it is mostly located right there as soon as customers get off work. In our daily living we have customers increasing tremendously in their weight. Many teenager boys and girls drop by half their healthy nutrition and gain more fat rich.

Fast-food companies increase their super-size by adding offers to the customers. At the same time, the companies are not realizing that other people’s health is worsening. All this process that goes on could increase business and money for the companies but they do not notice that it decreases our healthy nutrients we could be consuming. Teenage kids are young and taking in so much calories, that at a certain age their health is going to get worse, gain weight, get a decease or many other things.  

We need to manage more what we eat. If we are following up with a specialist, then we need to listen to what the nutritionist and dietitians tell us. The reason is if we want to live a long time.

Blog 15

 In the film “Meatrix” talks about how the factory really creates the food we eat.  The factory is the one that creates our eggs, milk and meat that we eat in our day living, but the factory also causes us unhealthy situations to our living. Should factories keep maximizing their industry more or should the farms take over the agriculture industry again?

The factories might not notice that but as more time passes more of us human being are getting unhealthier. I do agree with what the film mentions, that many of us do not know where our food comes from.  It causes us to gain diseases and germs.  As soon as the factories started to minimize the farming spacing, the animals were becoming unhealthier.  First of all, many animals that are being kept in the factories do not see the light, touch the ground and they do not get to breath the fresh air no more. Secondly, the factories when feeding the animals include antibiotic in their nutrient. The reason for the antibiotic is so that the animals could maintain their weight and like they say to stay healthy.  One thing that the factories do not realize is that over feeding the animals with antibiotic is not making them healthier, is actually creating and spreading more germs. When the animals have to move their bowels, it is actually polluting the air and ground water. That is because they are not getting well fed, not well treated and the animals are maintaining their weight by taking in antibiotic with their nutrients.

I do believe that the farms should take over the agriculture industry, rather than the factories. My reason is because less harmful food and diseases will be delivered to society.  Secondly, less artificial food would be consumed.  Farms, I believe would feed the animals healthier. They would treat the animals well.      ………….. IM NOT DONE

One thing that the movie Meatrix has similar to the Matrix is that they both are telling you to choose one out of two pills. You either choose the red pill or the blue pill. Both movies also let us know that we do not know about the real world. 

Blog 12

Since the beginning of this semester it has been a great experience for me. I have to say what made my experience well is because of the professor I have, Mr. Jason. Having Mr. Jason as my professor I have gained experience in how to write a better essay and improving with my vocabulary as well. I also gained more experience in where to place or use the punctuation marks in a paragraph or essay.

 I have done well in a few things this semester but I also believe I need improvement with a few things as well. Since Blog Series 1 (Entries 1-7) I believe I have done well in writing paragraphs as well as writing an essay. When I am writing my essays I could say I do include a good introduction, a body with examples and last but not least a conclusion re-summarizing of my thesis. I would say I need more improvement with how to properly start an introduction and how to improve summarizing the story better. I could write an introduction but I am constantly leaving something out. I tend to have problems with finding out what is the most important thing the author is trying to mention.

I believe for me to move ahead I need to know a few things. I mentioned in the above paragraph, to know how to summarize my stories better. If I do improve with my summary, I think I could achieve to move ahead with writing my essay. I need to maybe focus more in what they author is trying to say and in trying to use the details in the story to find out the main idea of the passage.

I would not choose to live in Cristoff’s world because we go through the same process daily. We have the same routine. Cristoff’s is the one that dictates what we do in our daily lives. In the movie Truman is the main person in creating his television show.  Cristoff is using Truman in keeping his show from running. In addition, the same daily routine was used every morning. Every morning Truman would leave his house and say to his neighbors “Good Morning, and if I don’t see you later have a Good Afternoon, Good Evening and Good Night”. Secondly, he would pass by the news stand and always pick up newspaper and a female article to take with him and he would say it’s for his wife.

Cristoff’s world has created a world to make thing seen like a perfect world. The only difference is that everyone around you is watching you and they are lying to you just so you could have a good life and perfect world. Cristoff’s is trying to tell us that in our society we have too many problems going on. He is trying to eliminate all those problems in Truman’s world. If we think about it, Truman world has problems too because everything around him was fake. An example is when Truman best friend was sitting with him in the beach, he was talking to him but his best friend was being dictated on what to say to Truman through a micro-piece ear.

Cristoff’s world is not something anyone wants to live in. Like how I mentioned in the above paragraph everyone in your world is just lying to you and watching every move you take and do.
